Relay for Life of Greene County, scheduled for April 24, has been postponed in the interest of protecting the health of our survivors, caregivers, volunteers and broader community.
“Survivors are such a big part of our Relay that the decision to postpone was an easy one to make,” said event leadership team chair Tori Riley. “Their health, and the health of all who would attend the event, is our biggest consideration at this time.”
Teams are encouraged to re-think fundraisers they’ve planned in the next several weeks, but to continue their fundraising efforts. “The books won’t close on the 2020 Relay until Dec. 31, so changing our date shouldn’t affect our ability to raise money for the important work of the American Cancer Society,” Riley said.
